Create a PayPal payment QR code

Create a QR code that opens a PayPal checkout link for a buy-now payment, cart item or donation. Enter the PayPal account email, item title, three-letter currency code and price. You can also add return and cancellation URLs.

How to create and test the code

  1. Choose Buy now, Add to cart or Donation.
  2. Enter the receiving PayPal email, title, currency and amount.
  3. Add complete https:// return URLs if you need them.
  4. Scan the live preview and complete a low-value end-to-end test before publishing.
  5. Choose a file format and select Download.

The QR code opens a PayPal page; scanning it does not complete a payment. The payer reviews the PayPal checkout and authorizes the transaction. This generator uses PayPal Payments Standard URL variables, which PayPal documents as a legacy integration. Confirm that the selected flow still works for your account and region.

Important limitations

This is a static code. The email, product details, amount and return URLs cannot be changed after download, and the code has no built-in payment status or scan analytics. Use a simple item title and test special characters carefully, because punctuation such as &, = and # can change how older checkout links are interpreted.
