Create a plain text QR code

A Text QR code stores written content directly in the code. Scanning it displays the text without opening a particular website or app. Enter up to 3,000 characters and the preview updates automatically.

How to create a Text QR code

  1. Enter the message, instructions, reference number or other text.
  2. Keep it concise: more data makes the QR pattern denser and can make small prints harder to scan.
  3. Customise the design while preserving strong contrast and clear space around the code.
  4. Test the preview and downloaded file on several phones, then select Download.

This is a static QR code. The text cannot be edited after download, and the code has no built-in links or scan analytics. Avoid putting passwords, personal records or other sensitive information in it because anyone who can scan the image can read the contents.
